This S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Art Deco lighter is an unnumbered prototype preserved in the manufacturer's storage. Its distinctive Chinese lacquer finish features sweeping geometric patterns with rich variations of black, burgundy, copper, and gold. Fine gold dust creates a shimmering effect throughout the lacquer, adding depth and texture to the abstract design. The multicolored panels are complemented by a polished gold finish.
Made in France, the Ligne 2 features S.T. Dupont's traditional flint ignition mechanism and soft yellow double flame. Unlike standard production examples, this prototype bears no individual serial number, distinguishing it as an unusual piece from the Maison's manufacturing history. Its Art Deco lacquerwork and manufacturer-held provenance make it particularly interesting to S.T. Dupont collectors.
